1984: Humble beginnings, big ambitions
Founded in 1984 as BMD Foundry Machinery Ltd. in Tumkuru, DISA India began its journey with modest resources and a turnover of less than ₹10 million. What we lacked in size, we made up for in vision - a vision to transform foundry technology in India.
As part of the Norican Group, we are shaping the global foundry landscape - united by quality, reliability, and innovation. Our journey from a small local manufacturer to a global technology leader reflects one simple truth: when vision meets commitment, excellence follows.

Driving innovation and industry transformation
For over four decades, DISA India has pushed the boundaries of metal casting and surface treatment, delivering advanced solutions for ferrous and non-ferrous foundries.
From early ARPA machines, TM Mixers, Sand Plants, and Shot Blast systems to modern DISAMATIC C3, DISAFLEX series, SAM Mixers, and India-made moulding machines, our journey reflects a constant drive for innovation and excellence.
Key milestones include the launch of BMD Garant Filters (1992), rebranding to Georg Fischer DISA Ltd. (1996), and the commissioning of our Hosakote facility (1997). The Wheelabrator partnership (2010) strengthened our market leadership, while the 2024 technology transfer of Simpson’s Multi-Cooler reaffirmed our commitment to bringing global innovation to India.

Technology transfer – SIMPSON Multi-Cooler
We proudly marked a significant milestone with the successful tech transfer and launch of the SIMPSON Multi-Cooler - the first of its kind built in India. This achievement not only shows our capability to absorb and adapt global technologies but also strengthens our position in delivering best-in-class solutions with trusted quality and efficiency.
